Reachel Singh, also the Singing Nomad, worked as a primary school teacher and decided to book a one-way ticket to Bangkok Asia to travel in solitude. The adventures inspired her to write new songs and create a soul journal. She started performing covers and originals with her voice and guitar, whilst living in Thailand and India. The Dutch newspapers “Algemeen Dagblad” wrote an article with the title: “Happy as a singing nomad.”
After almost four years of living abroad and traveling, she moved back to her home country, the Netherlands. In the last year she dedicated most of her time in the studio, learning new skills and recording her songs. Her goal is to share all of her experiences with the audience. Her story is one of love and freedom, which also are the silver linings that cut across every written song.
“My thoughts and feelings and my way of expressing myself have always been through music and writing. I kept a journal as a child and I started writing songs from the age of thirteen. Creativity was my outlet as a teenager growing up, because I was mostly silent, an introvert. After years of not writing, I started writing songs and a journal again while traveling. There was no one to explain all that was happening to me, because I was living in a totally different reality. My soul was slowly revealing itself. I’m sharing my very intimate story in the name of love and freedom, may you find the same healing through these words and melodies.”
